Oooops! I forgot to update last week :B, but here's a tone study of this simple shot. Three point perspective is my fave so I was playing with it.

Prismacolor render over Vellum paper. I just really wanted to work with organic shapes; I'm more of an architectural person when it comes to backgrounds that's why I'm trying on organic drawings :3.

Textures!!!

Update!, One of the most important skills a background painter needs to have is to be able to replicate textures. And after playing with them, I must say textures can be quite challenging. Nevertheless, textures can be a place where you can have lots of fun when you're trying all different kinds of tools. Mediums: left :watercolor, right :cel-vinil, cartoon colour.

Una parte muy importante para los pintores de escenarios es el poder re-crear texturas. Despues de hacer estos ejercicios debo de decir que las texturas pueden ser muy divertidas pero tambien pueden ser un gran reto! Materiales: Izq: Acuarela, Drch: Acrilicos de vinil, Cartoon Colour.
